Bath NC Real Estate - Bath NC Homes for Sale
Bath NC Real EstateNorth Carolina’s reputation has changed. What used to be a quiet and friendly state in the south is now known more for its cities. This rapid change in perception has a lot to do with people from the Northeast moving to North Carolina. However, what most people don’t realize is that almost all of these transplants are moving to city areas like Charlotte, Raleigh and Asheville. This means that the smaller towns have remained small and pleasant. The epitome of such a town is Bath, North Carolina. Bath’s population is only around 300 people and it’s the oldest town in the state. It was incorporated in 1705. This small town atmosphere is what’s starting to drive more people to consider Bath NC real estate.

The small town atmosphere is nice, but that’s not the only reason so many people have been looking into Bath NC homes for sale recently. Another big reason is the location. Bath is in the Coastal Plains region of North Carolina. This means you can own a farm in Bath and have easy access to rivers, lakes and the ocean. Basically, the only thing you’re missing is mountains, but that’s also available in Western NC. Another important factor when it comes to Bath NC real estate is that the household marriage rate is over 62 percent. This indicates strong family values. Combine that with Beaufort Schools and it’s the perfect place to raise a family.

Since this is a sleepy little town in North Carolina, you might think there’s not much to do, but that’s not the case at all. There is a lot to do in the area. In regards to attractions, you can visit the Historic Bath site, Aurora Fossil Museum, Goose Creek State Park, Pantego Academy Historical Museum, Bonner House and more. If you want natural beauty in the most tranquil sense, visit Bonner’s Point. For golf, go to Bayview Golf Course. If you want to ferry across the Pamlico River, you can do so for 20 minutes or 2.5 hours to Ocracoke Island. As you can see, there is plenty to do in these parts.
